Guardianships

A guardianship is established for people who need representatives to oversee their personal or financial affairs. A child or a person incapacitated by age or by health problems may come under the care of a legal guardian established by court order or appointed by the individual before the onset of incapacity or by a will. A guardian must file an annual guardianship plan and/or annual guardianship accounting which will be reviewed by and approved by the court.
